Perched high in the Pomahaka River headwaters, The Lodge brings together wilderness immersion and genuine comfort.
With two queen bedrooms, including one with an ensuite, plus a bunk room that sleeps six, The Lodge is well suited to group hunting parties, multi-day shooting crews and private high-country stays. Three showers, a separate bathroom, a heat pump and a fully equipped kitchen make it easy to settle in after a day outdoors.
The kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, gas hob and oven, with a BBQ available for relaxed outdoor dining. USB charging, Freeview TV, Wi-Fi and expansive views mean you can stay comfortable and connected while still enjoying the feeling of being away from it all.
Linen is not supplied, so guests can bring their own linen or sleeping bag.

Sleeping up to seven guests, Norman’s Hut is well suited to hunting crews, small groups and weekend escapes.
Firewood is supplied, helping you settle into the simple comfort of a true high-country hut. Basic cooking utensils and a gas cooktop are provided, giving you what you need to prepare meals without fuss.
Guests need to bring their own linen or sleeping bags.

For the adventurous, The Tram Car offers a unique and memorable way to stay at Whitecomb Range.
Unserviced, self-sufficient and immersed in the wild, this is accommodation for guests who want to keep things simple and experience the country in a more pared-back way. Sleeping up to four guests, The Tram Car is heated by a pot-belly stove, with firewood provided.
Guests need to bring their own linen or sleeping bags.

Practical Information
